Nora "Sally" Scott

Funeral services for Nora “Sally” Scott, 67, of Swartz, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at North Monroe Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Scott’s work on earth was completed on Sunday, February 27, 2011. Born on September 11, 1943 she passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church and the Sonny Standifer Life Group Sunday School Class. After spending twenty-seven years as a beautician, Sally then chose to spend the next four years working at Ouachita Christian School, where she touched the lives of co-workers, students, and faculty.
She was preceded in death by her father, Grover Cleveland McNeese, step father, Henry Dunn; son, Ronald David Johnson, daughter, Sharon Lynn Scott; brother, James Cleveland McNeese; and sister, Elaine King.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jesse “J.D.” Scott of Swartz, LA; sons, Jimmy D. Johnson and wife Robyn of Monroe, LA, Kevin D. Johnson of West Monroe, LA; step daughter, Cheryl Scott Richardson and husband Bud of Longview, TX; step son, J. Brent Scott of Monroe, LA; mother, Gracie Winnie Lambert of Winnsboro, LA; grandsons, Skyler Scott, who called her “Mama”, Christopher Richardson and wife Hiedi, Nicholas Richardson, Kolby Crew, Hunter Varino, and Jordan Johnson; special niece, Cathy Chase; and sister, Clara Woods of Hebert, LA; and the father of her children, Ronald Johnson.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at North Monroe Baptist Church, Monroe, LA
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
