Norma Lee Manning Saterfiel

September 20, 1922 — March 22, 2014

Norma was born on September 20, 1922, in Fisher, Arkansas, to loving parents, James Lester Manning and Linnie Marie Sargent Manning. She dearly loved the Lord, and was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church. She treasured her friends from her Sunday School Class, the Jim Hutchison Life Group. Norma is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Andrew L. Manning; and three sisters Christine “Teny” Manning Davis, Coy Manning Roberts, and Olive Manning Thorn. Norma’s beloved husband James Lewis Saterfiel also preceded her in death.

Those who survive to cherish her memory are her “twin boys” sons Jimmy Reeves of Hattiesburg, MS, and Randy Reeves and his wife Cathy also of Hattiesburg. She is survived by her precious sister Stella Maxine Manning of Pineville, LA, and her brother-in-law Aaron Roberts. The legacy of “Meme” will be treasured by her five grandchildren: Romaine Mayo and her husband Ricky of West Monroe, Kristie Cheek and her husband Alan of Pineville, Nikki Hale and her husband Chris of West Monroe, Julie Yutzy and her husband Brian of Houston, TX, and John Michael Williamson and his wife Adrianna of Hattiesburg, MS. Her eleven dear great-grandchildren are Diana Turner; Kristy Mayo; Jesse and Katie Watson; Gavin Cheek; Allison and Gracie Hale; Zachary, Andrea and Jeremy Yutzy and Lauren Nugent. She also had seven great-great-grandchildren. She was loved and endeared by her many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Her family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to her sweet caretakers: Carolyn, Adelia, Lizzie, Gloria and especially, Cynthia and Adrianna.

Pallbearers are her great-grandsons Jeremy Yutzy, Zachary Yutzy and Jesse Watson, and friends Shawn Allen, Bob Shumate and Larry Brakefield.

Honorary pallbearers are John Michael Williamson, Clyde Thorn, Brian Thorn, Dennis Reeves, Glen Cook, Brooke Sivo, Kerry Anders, and members of the Jim Hutchison Sunday School Class.
Our beautiful Mother and precious Meme will be treasured and greatly missed. Her rich legacy lives on through her family. Though our hearts are broken now, we find absolute comfort in knowing that she is wrapped safely in the arms of her Savior.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed…” Proverbs 31:25-28.
