Oreatha Saterfiel Luttrell Bond

Funeral Services for Oreatha Saterfiel Luttrell Bond, 81, of West Monroe will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at First Baptist Church Feazel Chapel in West Monroe. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Church Cemetery, West Monroe. Dr. Woods Watson will be officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Mrs. Bond was born May 3, 1930 in West Monroe, LA and passed away January 19, 2012 after a lengthy illness in West Monroe, LA. She was retired from the Ouachita Parish School System where she was Personnel Director and Reading Coordinator. She also taught several years at Drew Elementary in West Monroe and Lakeshore Elementary in Monroe.
Mrs. Bond was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe where she taught the Agape ladies Sunday School class for many years.
Mrs. Bond is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Lillian Arrant Saterfiel of West Monroe. She is survived by her husband, James C. Bond Sr. and his children, James C Bond, Jr., Mrs. Bill Brodie and Mrs. Fred Ragland of West Monroe; her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Linda Luttrell of West Monroe; her grandson, Dr. Eric Luttrell of Eugene, Oregon; her brothers, Doyle Saterfiel and his wife Melba, Herbert Saterfiel, and Truman Saterfiel and his wife Freddie of West Monroe; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family recommends memorials to La. Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe and Mercy Ministries, P. O. Box 111060, Nashville, TN 37222 (designate to West Monroe home).
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 20 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
