Pansy Varnado Ingram

Funeral services to honor the life of Pansy Varnado Ingram, 81, of Winnsboro will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 27, 2010, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with Dr. Max Lee and Rev. Craig Beeman officiating.  Interment will follow in Old Winnsboro Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
     Pansy Varnado Ingram was born November 14, 1929, in Winnsboro, LA.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics.  Mrs. Ingram was co-owner with her brother Charles Raymond Varnado of Varnado Insurance Agency in Winnsboro.
     Beloved sister and aunt, Mrs. Ingram is remembered for her faith in God, generosity, friendship and most of all, her love of family.
     She gave her life to Jesus Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Winnsboro.  Mrs. Ingram taught her nieces and nephews the value of a close relationship and life devoted to serving Jesus Christ.
     Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening and singing.  She studied music at University of Louisiana-Monroe and performed solos at church, local nursing homes and veterans organizations.
     She is survived by her sister, June Varnado Southern of Monroe, her sister-in-law, Martha Varnado of Winnsboro, and beloved nieces and nephews: Larry Varnado of Alexandria, LA; Billy Varnado of The Woodlands, TX; Robert David Southern of Atlanta, GA; Linda Southern Vanek of Houston, TX; Katherine Southern McLain of Richmond, TX; Donna Southern Schmidt of Houston, TX; 5 great-nephews and one great-niece.  Beloved caregivers and friends were Marvel Nichols and Jessie Lee Blunt, both of Winnsboro.
     Pallbearers will be Vic Hodgkins, Owen White, Bobby Collins, Pete Rawls and Bill Russell.
     Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
     The family would like to thank her wonderful doctors, nurses, and professional caregivers.
     The family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Winnsboro and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Memphis, TN.
