Memorial service for Mrs. Paula Jean Boyd Summerall, 66, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, February 13, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Deacon Thomas “BJ” Kennedy officiating. Private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Paula was born on May 20, 1954, in Monroe and passed away on February 4, 2021, in Monroe. Paula gained her Angel Wings early Thursday morning surrounded by her family. She looked forward to each morning, drinking her coffee, reading her devotionals, and watching the birds and soaking up God’s creation. Paula had a strong faith and did not hesitate to share with anyone. She was a huge Saints fan and loved Drew Brees. Paula left this world filled with peace bringing her family comfort. We Love you and will miss you.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Dennis Summerall; son, Roy Dennis Summerall, Jr. “Denny”; parents, Arnold Jackson Boyd and Janice Marie Mitchell Boyd; sister, Jackie Boyd; and brother, Johnny Boyd.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Whitney Jackson Wilkinson (Logan); brother, Arnold “Bubba” Jackson Boyd Jr. (Sue); and sisters, Susan Boyd Nerren Hollingsworth (Clay) and Pamela Boyd Farley (Kenneth).
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to Marfan Heart Association.
