Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Paula Middleton Lilly, 62, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Matthew Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.

Paula, the youngest child of 15 was born in Jones County, MS to James Herman and Elver Ellzey Middleton on September 20, 1955. She passed from this world at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe, LA on April 25, 2018. She married the love her life Richard E. Lilly on October 20, 1972. She retired from Harvest Foods (Formerly Safeway) after 23 years and continued life as a homemaker. Paula was a loving and caring wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend. She served as a member of Peniel Baptist Church in West Monroe. Paula was a source of strength to her family and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Herman and Elver Ellzey Middleton; Sisters Louise Cochran, and Maxine Oaks; Brothers Thomas, Bobby Joe, and Donnie Middleton.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years ,Richard Earl Lilly of West Monroe, LA; her son Shane Lilly and wife Jennifer of West Monroe; granddaughter Kaleigh Lilly of Laurel, MS; Step grandchildren Austin and Ashlyn Audirsch of West Monroe, LA; sisters Maurine Ward and husband Cecil of Laurel, MS, Sybil Toombs of Montgomery, TX; brothers Rufus Middleton and wife Ruth of Heidelberg, MS, Billy Middleton and wife Joni on Vicksburg, MS, Jimmy Middleton of French Camp, MS, Robert Middleton and wife Charlene of Laurel, MS, Charles Middleton and wife Mona of Foley, AL, Richard Middleton and wife Henrietta of Clinton, MS, Dennis Middleton and wife Dorothy of Laurel, MS; Special Friend Mrs. Imogene Johnston; beloved pet Macy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Mills, Donald Holifield, Austin Audirsch, Mickey Ward, David Middleton, and Daniel Middleton.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
