Philip Gallman Cain II

1979-2022 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Philip Gallman Cain II. He entered eternal rest at the young age of 43. He was born on May 5, 1979 in Monroe, Louisiana, and he was the only son and youngest of his siblings. Philip grew up in Monroe and played football at Ouachita Parish High School prior to graduating. He enlisted in the United States Army, and after being honorably discharged, he went to school to receive his CDL license to become a truck driver. Philip was a kind, bright, funny, and artistic man, who loved his family. He enjoyed drawing and creating model cars with his son. He loved cooking and had a major sweet tooth for candies, cookies, and cakes. There was one summer, when Dad made his children homemade breakfasts every morning, with French toast being his specialty! We will forever be grateful for these moments shared with him. Dad also enjoyed traveling to new places and explored parts of New York, Virginia, Florida, and Texas. He also had an interest in exotic pets, such as lizards, various snakes, and even a hedgehog. Dad loved his hats, and he was rarely seen out without one on his head. He was known for being silly and making jokes, as well as taking his long naps. He is preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides, Rev. James R. Cain and wife Clara and John Howard Fairbanks and wife Mary.

He is survived by his three children, Holly, Dylan, and Sieanna; his parents, Philip Cain and Emmeline Claudet and husband Carl; his sisters, Candy Cain, Jessica Montano and husband Justin, and Amy Newton and husband Rich; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other extended family members.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 2308 Sterlington Rd. in Monroe. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Inurnment will follow with Military Honors at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.

Philip G. Cain II will be greatly missed by all those who love him, and we will continue to remember and honor him. We hope that you can rest in peace now. We love you, Dad!
