Funeral services for Mrs. Polly King Williams, 83, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 26, 2008, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. J. E. Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born on December 22, 1924 and passed away on Thursday morning, April 24, 2008, after a brief illness. She was full of love, compassion and generosity. Her family was her life. Honesty, integrity, and Christian values were her motto. Memories of her sweet spirit and laughter will keep her ever near. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ira Williams.
Left to cherish her memory is daughter, Rita Darlene Williams; cousins, special friend, Clarice Taylor; and many other friends.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Taylor, Steven Taylor, Lonny Norsworthy, Calton Yeager, Barry Wall, Marion Williams, and Brandon Wall.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
The family extends special thanks to the caregivers for her daughter, Darlene, who also became friends of Polly’s and the staff of NSICU at St. Francis Medical Center.
