Services for Ray Morris Trisler, 74 of Start will be 2:00PM Saturday, Nov 2, 2013 at Start Baptist Church with Rev. Jeffery Thomas officiating. Interment will be in the Start Cemetery in Start, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home-Rayville. Mr. Trisler passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in Union Parish on his deer stand doing what he loved best.
He attended Droanes Business College in Natchez, Miss., he was a member of Start Baptist Church, charter member of Po-Boy hunting club, member of Gideons International, was constable of Ward 3, and he taught Sunday school for Last Stop Sunday School class.
He is preceded in death by his 1st wife-Barbara Ann Epps Trisler; parents-Noah and Della Trisler and one brother-Allen Preston Trisler.
He is survived by his wife-Brenda McBroom Trisler; children-Rayland and wife Kym Trisler and Maria and husband Andy Danna; grandchildren-Stefanie and husband Greg Johnson, Drew Danna, Emilee Trisler, Reed and wife Olivia Trisler,Clayton Trisler, and Kara Grace Trisler; great grandchildren-Aidan Simmons, Aubree Johnson, and Fletcher Johnson; brother-Aubrey Trisler; sister-Faye Wade; and sister-in-law-Connie Trisler.
Pallbearers will be Bennie McBroom, Bubba Moore, Woody Bacon, Calvin Odom, Johnny “Booger” Howard, Ken Trisler, and Walter Trisler. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Last Stop Sunday School class.
Visitation will be 5:30-8:00PM Friday November 1, 2013 at the Start Baptist Church in Start, LA.
