Memorial services for Rebecca Jane “BJ” Moss, 62 of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday June 30, 2011 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Walter Allen officiating.
In loving memory of my mother and best friend you will always be loved, and be remembered forever in my heart and soul. I know you are without pain or sorrow. She would want us all to be happy and live our life to the fullest, however I feel so empty. She had a passion for animals. She did animal rescue for years making sure the animals had loving homes. This was her mission in life and it is now complete. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was my mother and I am very proud to say this. I also know she is with my papaw, they are together now, I know. She missed him dearly and they will both be looking down on us all. She was a very strong person with a great mind always thinking of crazy, sometimes genius ideals. She would definitely make one think. She was strong willed and independent. My world will never be the same. She was my rock, someone I could always talk to without too much judgment, and give it to me straight no holds barred. I will miss her dearly and she is and will always be in my heart forever. May God rest her soul.
Mrs. Moss is preceded in death by her father, Robert O. Moss.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Herren; grandson, Phillip (Anthony) Herren, son, Randy Platt, son Bradley Davis; mother, Mary Jane Moss; brother, Robert Moss; nephews, Chris and Lee Moss.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the Ouachita Parish Humane Society or to the Disable Veterans National Foundation
