August 19, 2010 at Rayville First Baptist Church with Rev. Connie Ward officiating,
internment to follow in Stevenson Cemetery near Rayville, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville, LA
Rev. Don Roberts of Rayville LA passed away August 16, 2010 from a lengthy illness at Glenwood Hospital. Rev. Roberts was born August 22, 1934 in Eros LA. He served the Lord in pastoral ministries for 56 years in numerous Southern Baptist churches in Louisiana and East Texas.
Rev. Roberts is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cascille C. Roberts of Rayville, LA, son and daughter-in-law, Tim and LuAnn Roberts of Cumming, GA, daughter and son-in-law Dondra and Billy Fuller of Priceville, AL, grandson Justin Roberts of Rayville, LA, grandson and granddaughter in law Collin and Larah Roberts of Montgomery, LA, and granddaughter Sarah Fuller of Priceville, AL. Other survivors include brothers and sisters Marshall Lee and LuWanda Roberts of Rexburg, ID, Dorothy and Oscar Head of West Monroe, LA, Joyce Curry of West Monroe, Betty and Raymond Jeffress of Jonesboro, LA, Oda W (Tuck) and Barbara Roberts of West Monroe, LA, Sandra and Jerry Williams of Pineville, LA, and sister in law Ann Roberts of Monroe. He was preceded in death by parents, Oda Lee and Tressie Hobbs Roberts of West Monroe, brother Bob Roberts of Monroe, and sister Ruby McCall of West Monroe.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Rhymes Memorial Library, 815 Louisa Street, Rayville LA 71269.
Visitation will be from 5:30 – 8 PM Wednesday August 18, 2010 at the funeral home.
