Memorial Services for Robert C. Henson, 85, of West Monroe, LA will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 1, 2013 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating. Private Family graveside services will be in Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS.
Mr. Henson died at his residence suddenly on October 28, 2013.
Mr. Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church of West Monroe. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry from LSU, and served in the United States Marine Corp and United States Air Force during the World War II and the Korean War. Bob was a retired Forester with Olin Kraft, after retirement he joined the staff at St. Francis Medical Center taking care of the boiler room until his second retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Henson; children, Robert C. Henson, Jr. and wife, Vilma and Debbie Taylor and husband, Gary; brother, Walter Henson and wife, Gena; sister, Celeste Bedwell; grandchildren, Jason Henson, Jennifer Henson, Hannah Jordan, Rebekah Taylor, Stephen Taylor and Rachel Taylor.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the United Methodist Men, Prayer Group and Ila McConnell Sunday School Class at First Methodist Church
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
