Graveside services celebrating the life of Sharon Ann Lewis Burris, 57, of Monroe, LA will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun, LA with Rev. Rob Herrington officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA
Sharon died January 27, 2012 at her residence with her family at her side. She was born on November 29, 1954 in Monroe, LA. She moved to Cabot, AR in 1994, where she lived until her retirement in the mortgage business. Sharon moved back to Louisiana to be near her beloved family as she fought a courageous battle with cancer. Sharon worked in the loan business for many years and was an active member of the Corvette Club of Arkansas. She enjoyed cruises in her Corvette and participating in car shows. Sharon was kind, generous and a stranger to no one. She was an avid LSU and New Orleans Saints fan, however her greatest passion was caring for and spending time with family and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo Lewis and brother, Harvey Lloyd “Butch” Lewis, Jr.
Survivors: daughter, Amanda Burris; granddaughter, Alexis Barnes; father, Lloyd Lewis; sisters, Dianne Lyons (Charlton) of Memphis, TN and Debbie Armstrong of Jasper, GA; aunt and uncle, June and Wilburn Littleton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also has many wonderful friends who loved and supported her throughout her life.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA
