Sybil Yvonne Acree

Private family graveside services for Sybil Yvonne Acree, 84, of Arcadia, LA, will be held on Monday, April 13, 2020, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in West Monroe, with Rev. Steve Hughes officiating.
Ms. Acree was born July 2, 1935 and passed away April 9, 2020. She was a resident of West Monroe, LA, for most of her adult life and worked at Week’s Electrical Supply until her retirement. She also served as a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, for many years.
Ms. Acree was a strong Christian woman and truly lived out her faith by example. She lived her life according to the “Golden Rule”; always treating others as she wanted to be treated herself. Her greatest joy was her family. Ms.Acree loved being outdoors, and she especially enjoyed the times she went camping with her children, grandchildren and long-time friends. She touched many lives and will be missed by her family, friends, and her caregivers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kelcer Franks; mother, Leola Franks; and her sister, Dorothy Williamson.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jesse Roberts, Jr. and wife, Rexie; daughter, Judy Knighten and husband, Dennis; nine grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
