Funeral Services for Sylvia Eyvonne Russell, 80, of Farmerville, LA will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Bro. David Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Columbia.
Mrs. Russell was born on January 7, 1932 in Columbia, LA and died on September 21, 2012 in Farmerville, LA. She was an avid gardener. Her yard was always planted with beautiful flowers and she was happy to share with family and friends. She loved her grandchildren. She attended as many events that she could as long as her health allowed her. Mrs. Russell and husband, James spent much of their retirement traveling the United States with a special love of the mid-west. She is preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Barnette; sister, Doris Barnette; grandson, Joeseph Adam James Paterakis.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, James Ray Russell; daughters, Barbara Kay Homann of Ft. Worth, TX, Jacqui Roybal and husband, Dwaine of Billings, MT, Janet Fortenberry and husband, Guy of Farmerville, LA; grandchildren, Brett Homann, Ryan Madison, and Anne-Marie Fortenberry; great-grandchild, Owen Madison; brother, Virgil Barnette of Doyline, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
