Troy H. LuttgeharmServices celebrating the life of Troy Hans Luttgeharm, 47, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 6, 2014, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Tim Neustifiter and Rev. Joanne Pounds officiating. His remains will be placed in St. Paul’s Columbarium.Troy died November 3, 2014, at St. Francis Medical Center after a sudden illness. Troy was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, where he served in numerous leadership roles and was a member of the New Horizons Sunday School Class. He was active in St. Paul’s Retreat and ACTS retreat ministries. He was a graduate of Leesville High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from Northeast Louisiana University (now University of Louisiana – Monroe) and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from University of Louisiana - Monroe. He was employed in management and counseling with the United Methodist Children’s Home in Ruston, LA. Troy was a faithful supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. He was an Eagle Scout. Following in his father’s footsteps, his son, Riley, will receive his Eagle Scout Honor very soon.Survivors include his wife, Paulen LaMarca Luttgeharm; son, Riley Luttgeharm; parents, Max and Jo Ann Luttgeharm of League City, TX; brother, Clint Luttgeharm and wife, Shannon of Wichita, KS; nephews, Kyle Luttgeharm and wife, Jennifer of Lincoln, NE, and Todd Luttgeharm of Manhattan, KS; uncle, John Birchman Richard of Alexandria, LA; sister-in law Mary LaMarca Caldwell and husband Bernie, nieces Mikki and Blaise Caldwell; parents-in-law, Tony and Vicki LaMarca and Johnny and Grace Houston.Pallbearers will be Robert Canterbury, Nat Smith, Don Arrington, Jeff Mouk, Matt Nolan, Bernie Caldwell, Tony Cain, Brett Kathey and Stephen Jeane.Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the St. Paul’s and ACTS retreat ministries.Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, United Methodist Children’s Home or St. Paul’s United Methodist Church or The Boy Scouts of America, Troop 231.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.comMulhearn Funeral Home2803 Sterlington RoadMonroe, LA 71203
