Funeral Services for Mrs. Vera Bernice Amason, 92, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Tom Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery.
Mrs. Amason was born March 3, 1919 and died December 23, 2011. She was a member of Christ Church in West Monroe. Mrs. Amason loved cooking for her family and spending time with her children and most of all her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kent J. Amason; and daughters, Linda Evans, LaFrance Cauthen, Gail Brannen, and Donna Salley.
Survivors include: children, Sandra Miley and husband Billy, Beverly McBeth, Gwen Welch and husband Tommy, Michael Salley and wife Barbara, and Terri Hayes and husband Mike; twenty two grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Amason’s grandsons.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, December 26, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to Christ Church.
