Virginia Marie Jones Crow

September 11, 1924 — June 20, 2021

Funeral service for Mrs. Virginia Marie Jones Crow, 96, of Monroe, LA, will be held 11:00AM Saturday, June 26, 2021, at First United Methodist Church in Monroe with Rev. Brian Mercer officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time at the church on Saturday.

Mrs. Crow was a member of First United Methodist Church in Monroe, the Monroe Garden Club, La Petite Maison Garden Club, Bayou Desiard Country Club, where she was a member of the Ladies Golf Association, and the PEO Sisterhood. She enjoyed playing tennis, golf, bridge, and sewing for her family. Mrs. Crow loved her friends and had many of them. Although one of her most joyful things in life was dancing the “jitterbug” with her partner of 76 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Klien Crow; daughters, Karen Boydston (Phil) of North Carolina, Brenda Rowan (Bob) of Monroe, and Vicki Ridley (James) of Oregon; eight grandchildren, Brent Boydston (Becky), Stacy McNeilly (John), Lori Applegate (Chad), Cory Copeland (Rita), Amy Davis (Paul), Cameron Rowan (Erin), Timothy Ridley (Annie), and Emily Baarstad (Dalton); fifteen great grandchildren, Tori Cline, Brenna Davis, Garrett Applegate, Abby Applegate, Blake Applegate, Brooke McNeilly, Brandon McNeilly, Jake Boydston, Kade Boydston, and Liam Baarstad; two great great granddaughters, Remi Cline and Karsyn Cline; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Charles Wall, Richard Bordelon, and grandsons Brent Boydston, Cory Copeland, Cameron Rowan, and Timothy Ridley. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Kelly, Ford Pipes, Richard Pipes, and Gre Brennen.

Special thanks to her faithful caregivers: Kay, Lilly, Shaquita, and Shonta and as well as Elara Caring Hospice.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Monroe or to your favorite charity.
