William Carl Jackson, 66, AKA “Wild Bill”, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 30, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 3, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Burial will be held at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe. Services will be officiated by Father Ned Head.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Barbara Jackson; three children, Amy Jackson Flaherty, Preston Bradley Jackson, and Emily Ann Jackson; two grandchildren, Alexander Dirk Flaherty and Abigail Grace Hall; one sister, Nora Jackson Bean and her husband John Bean; one brother, Murray Addison Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Blanchard Jackson; mother, Eunice May Addison Jackson; and brother, Walter Dulaney Jackson.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice Family Alliance, LLC. Especially to Monica Guice, RN, for all the exceptional care and support given by her to the family during this time.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church or to your favorite charity.
